Wind flings

the microphone man's voice

to the fields

and the river's edge

where it seeds

in green nettles

half sunk

a rusting tractor

gathers the disparate voices

of fifty years

its clogged wheels

stop on celebration

of a sideshow piece

for ants and spiders.
