2017 Emmy-nominated Shailene Woodley doesn’t own a TV

At the Sunday-night awards show, Shailene Woodley claimed! that she’s too cool for TV.

“I haven’t had a TV since I moved out of my parents’ house at 18,” says Woodley, who was wearing a green, bespoke Ralph Lauren gown. “When do people have time to [watch TV]? I’m a reader, so I always read a book.”

Woodley may not care about TV, but TV cares about her: She’s nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Movie/Limited Series for her work in “Big Little Lies.” The show snagged a total of 16 nods, including one for Outstanding Limited Series.

Naturally, people on social media have savaged her.
