Capturing Images

Use one of the following physical sensations/images to serve as catalysts to awaken your imagination and to recall life experiences.

If you can’t experience these things directly, imagine that you can—or find your own. See what arises! Write everything you can about the connections sparked by one of these images and sensations.

* walking barefoot on a hot city sidewalk

* listening to the wail of sirens and rush of vehicles

* standing naked under a waterfall

* tasting snowflakes for the first time

* holding someone in your arms

* smelling and tasting food from a different country

* petting your cat or dog

* hearing thunder when you were a child

* watching fog roll in over the hills
