Poems for Advent 2
Christmas Star
Spinning silver in the dark
it caught the spark
of cold and needle green
the scarlet sheen
of warm red coat
the silent stroke
of hand and clock
the winding shock
of bells that know
beyond its glow
the flash of morning star
too far
to focus what it brings
only what sings
with sun at last
small
wings amongst the grass.
