This garden that I planted

        This garden that I planted

        is a thick green orchard

        of mid-winter grace.

        From the verandah

        the eastern aspect

        across the lawn

        is transfixed

        in the bright trinity

        of lemon

                       lime and orange lights.

        I feed the cat

        make a pot of tea

        the benediction of a safe behest.
