Poems for Advent 15

Christmas Eve Promises

. . . that I will keep my bedroom clean

that I will make my bed

and never leave my dirty clothes

from front door to back shed

that I will set the table

not wait to be asked three times

that I will get my homework done

and get my diary signed

that I will fight my sister less

perhaps only twice a week

and after every single snack

make sure I brush my teeth

that I will be a perfect child

and not put a foot wrong

ALL THIS UNTIL TOMORROW

if I can last that long!
